Coega Development Corporation (CDC) is a state-owned enterprise in South Africa responsible for the development and operation of the Coega Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Headquartered in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), the CDC is wholly owned by the Eastern Cape Provincial Government.
This structured 24-month internship programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and the world of work. It offers graduates practical experience, mentorship, and exposure within one of South Africa’s leading development institutions.

Minimum Qualifications Per Field
Operations — Gqeberha
- National Diploma in Project Management
Business Development — Gqeberha
- National Diploma in Industrial Engineering
ICT, Research and Strategy — Gqeberha
- National Diploma in Business Management
- Honours Degree in Economics
Compliance — Gqeberha
- National Diploma in Office Administration
- National Diploma in Public Administration
- National Diploma in Business Administration
Tshwane Programme — Pretoria
- National Diploma in Office Administration

Qualification Level Requirements
Applicants must hold:
- Diploma (NQF Level 6)
- Degree (NQF Level 7)
- Honours Degree (NQF Level 8)
Qualifications must align with the selected internship field.
General Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be under the age of 35
- Have no prior work experience in their field of study
- Be committed to completing the full 24-month programme
- Demonstrate strong work ethic and professionalism
- Be willing to learn and adapt
