The Zeekoewater Quarry is one of AfriSam’s active aggregate operations in Mpumalanga, offering practical industrial exposure within a professional quarry environment.
A Section 18.2 Learnership is a structured programme under the Skills Development Act that combines:
- Theoretical training
- Practical workplace experience
In this programme, learners will sign a formal 18.2 Learnership Agreement, which will be registered with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA). This ensures the qualification is nationally recognised upon completion.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be unemployed youth who are technically inclined and meet one of the following:
- Grade 12 with:
- Pure Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
- Physical Science
- English
- N2 Certificate including:
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Two additional relevant subjects
- Engineering NCV Certificate (7 subjects at NQF Level 4)
- Technical Grade 11 with:
- Mathematics
- Science
- Language subject
- Related trade theory subject
- Relevant N6 Certificate or National Technical Diploma (T, S or N stream)
A valid driver’s licence will be an advantage but is not compulsory.
