The Takealot Group Internship Programme gives selected interns the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while gaining daily exposure to real work in the e-commerce sector.
Interns will receive training in a variety of technical and soft skill areas, helping them prepare for long-term careers in a large-scale and high-growth environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- An N6 certificate in Marketing, Media, Communications, or a related field
- A portfolio or link to a digital folder such as Canva or Google Drive showing previous social media content or creative work
Skills Required
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Good knowledge of Google Sheets, including vlookups, pivots, and data validation
- Good knowledge of Google Workspace
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of design principles
- Good knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Assist in the daily execution of the Personal Shopper Program’s social media strategy
- Help with scheduling, posting, and community engagement
- Produce visual content such as static images, GIFs, and short-form videos using tools like Canva or Photoshop
- Support marketing campaigns for internal stakeholders and external partners
- Translate programme updates and benefits into engaging social content
- Ensure all content aligns with Takealot Group brand guidelines while keeping the unique voice of the Personal Shopper Program
